build is running indefinitely

Hi, i am running CESM 1.2.2 and for some reason the build runs indefinitely. Following is the build output.

i did check at the log and it seems like it is stuck looking for mpif.h

my paths to the mpi are correct.

i have attached the mct log and config.log and macros.

Have you tried to compile and run a simple mpi program?

CESM Software Engineer

aketh.tm@...

yes,

it works fine. This problem has been persistent since trying to compile the program with gmake_j with value 16.

later i downloaded the code afresh but still the problem persists.

my friend uses a the cluster. However he faces no such errors. It seems to have started with once i tried gmake_j with 16 option.

jedwards

Easy solution then - set gmake_j = 1.

CESM Software Engineer

aketh.tm@...

oh i actually tried that. But the error persists.

this problem has been there since i tried gmake_j for 16.
