Aerosol Initialisation in the SCAM model

Hi,

I have been simulating my own SCAM case with user specified IOP dataset .

For the aerosol loading, I have to avoid the use of the aerosol tendencies being read in from the emmission dataset

The SCAM6 paper describes that the anthropogenic emission climatology is used for the aerosol initialisation. Is there a way, to avoid using reading in the aerosol tendencies from the emission datset?
Or Can the aerosol tendencies be set to zero in the SCAM model.

Thank you in adance for the help.

Hi Arti,

You could set the aerosol emissions to zero. I don't know a way to stop reading tendencies. So you would have to set the emissions in the files to zero or find where they are read in the code and manually setting emissions to zero to read in.

Hope that helps,

Andrew
