ORBITAL_YEAR (cesm 1.0.3 and later)

Hi Nan, I am presently using CES 1.0.4 which has some modifications about orbital settings relative to cesm 1.0.2 (that I used with you to set-up initialconditions for MIS6). I cannot find anywhere if the new ORBTAL_YEAR option (to be set in env_run.xml from CESM 1.0.3 and later) needs an A.D. year?I look in the various coupler routines as well but I was not able to find a clue. Do you have any idea? Cheers Flo

I think you are asking whether orbital year is relative to 1950 A.D., and the answer is yes:orb_iyear_ad = 1950 -
e.g., 140ka: 1950 - 140,000 = -138,050
