About the forming of the topography data with a separation scale different than the original 6km

Hi, I have been dealing with the topographic data recently, and I want to try to make a separate of different scales than the original 6km for SGH and SGH30s. I wonder if the intermediate resolution for the topo data using topo_tool provided in the cam topo_tools can be changed to a different resolution, such as 10km, and whether this would achieve a roughly separation of above 20km and below 20km topo scales?
