About validation of the 0.25 deg or 0.5 deg version of CAM5.2

I would like to set up experiments using the atmosphere-only version of CESM 1.1.x (CAM5.2) and 0.25 degree or 0.5 degree horizontal resolution (http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.1/cesm/doc/modelnl/grid.html). However, when I check the CESM webpage, it does not mention if these resolutions are scientifically validated (http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/scientifically-supported.html). Would anybody answer this question?
Thank you very much!

Yes, these resolutions are not scientifically validated. It means you would need to evaluate your simulation compared to observation and likely do some tuning.
