What version of the code are you using?
commit e647b664db6e576dd7ba6af63327c190a0cc887c
Author: Robert Hallberg <Robert.Hallberg@noaa.gov>
Date: Mon May 4 06:29:51 2020 -0400
Have you made any changes to files in the source tree?
No.
Describe every step you took leading up to the problem:
We ran MOM6, solo and coupled to an atmospheric model, for 50 years, with 75 hybrid levels in the vertical coordinate.
If this is a port to a new machine: Please attach any files you added or changed for the machine port (e.g., config_compilers.xml, config_machines.xml, and config_batch.xml) and tell us the compiler version you are using on this machine.
Please attach any log files showing error messages or other useful information.
N/A.
Describe your problem or question:
The AMOC pattern of both, solo and coupled simulations with hybrid vertical coordinate, does not match the actual AMOC pattern, as seen in the figure attached. When we used density as vertical coordinate, this problem did not occur. Has anyone noticed something similar?
In the Figure, MOM6 solo AMOC is in the left and Coupled model AMOC is in the right.
