Yes, the raw surface data required to run the model are all in the subversion inputdata repository and are downloadable to other machines. The complete list of all the files for all versions of CLM are here:


The guidance on how to run the CLM tool to create surface datasets "mksurfdata_map" is in the CLM UG here...


One way to get the namelist that lists all the files (using the mksurfdata.pl tool) and then use "svn export" to install them on your system. A way that would need to be updated for the most recent version used the check_input_data script form cime to get the files. See this...


As I said the process will need to be modified for the current model version.
