Anyone know how to modify csm_share in CCSM 3.0.1?

I'm currently working on modifying CCSM 3.0.1 to do the same things as a version of CCSM3.1 I was given. But in order to make some of the alterations, I need to edit csm_share. However, SourceMods doesn't seem to have a place (such as src.share in later versions) to put modified csm_share files and the builder script does not recognize modifications put in src.share if you just create it in SourceMods. Does anyone know a workaround for this?
