Anyone worked out to create SST input for F compset from a B compset simulation?

Hi all,I am wondering whether anyone here worked out to create the SST input for F compset from a B compset simulation? I noticed that there is a guide in CESM UG http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2/cesm/doc/usersguide/x2306.html and some codes wirtten by Hanny https://bb.cgd.ucar.edu/ncl-scripts-create-sstice-data-files-drive-f-compset-using-b-compset-history-files. But I have some confusions with both methods. If we use UG's method, do we need to manually substitute the missing values and replace longitude/latitude data of ice file each time? If we use Hanny's code, I do not understand about why the ice time series read in is split into south hemisphere and north hemisphere and how to deal with the mid of day.Can anyone help me with that?Much appreciation!Yu
