What is the difference between TBOT and TSA? I'm assuming TBOT is simply the interpolated atmospheric forcing for the current time step.
Does TSA then give information on feedback processes in the boundary layer (also in offline mode) ? E.g. if TSA is larger than TBOT there is some heating up due to water shortage?

Hi Spamiad,I think TBOT is the temperature given to CLM by the atmosphere model (so an input), not accounting for any surface processes. This temperature is also not necessarily at 2m. TSA is the 2m temperature calculated by CLM, accounting for surface processes like interaction with vegetation, latent heat etc.
