Beginner Question: Handling Lack of CRS in CESM NetCDF Outputs

I have been downloading some of the CESM2 LENS climate projection data and noticed that at least some NetCDF output files don't have a specific coordinate reference system (CRS) mentioned in the file metadata. The file includes dimensions, resolution, and extent (e.g., -0.625, 359.375, -90.4712, 90.4712 (xmin, xmax, ymin, ymax)), but no documented CRS. Is there a standard mapping of CESM2 LENS outputs to a CRS that can then be reprojected?

CESM doesn't have a CRS in the sense that the GIS community thinks of one. The earth is considered a perfect sphere of radius 6371.22 kilometers.
