boundary condtions of CAM

Dear all,

I am testing a paleoclimate simulation with CCSM4 of resolution T31_g37.
I changed boundary conditions (land-sea distribution, topography and etc.) for the model.

The model can run for 2-3 years. But after that, the simulation always crashes.

The following is the error message from the file ccsm.log.xxxxxx.

I try to reduce dtime in the simulations. I tested dtime 900, 600, 300. However, the simulations still crash.

Can anybody tell me what can cause the crash?

I think it is probably the boundary conditions (topography) cause the crash. I set the paleotopography condition by using the method introduced by Christine. I think I should test other method to set the paleotopography.

Can any body tell me how to set phis, sgh and sgh30 in the topography file for present condition in USGS-gtopo30_48x96_c050520.nc?

Thanks a lot.
