Hello,
I would like to use CTSM (latest) for regional simulations and if I understand correctly, that requires ESMF.
Further, I want to compile CTSM (and ESMF) with the nvhpc compiler (version 21.3) for compatibility with other non-CESM components.
The model will be run on cray-haswell architecture with cray-mpich.
Ideally, I should probably build ESMF for cray (Unicos) with nvhpc, but this system-compiler combination is not available among the ESMF-8.3.0 build_config directories (esmf/build_config at v8.3.0 · esmf-org/esmf). Is there another solution, e.g. is CTSM still compatible with ESMF compiled with e.g. Unicos-pgi or or Linux-nvhpc?
Thanks,
Petra
