Hello all,
We are interested in the relationship between BVOCs-SOA-NOx over the Amazon. But the level of ISOP (~40 ppb) and MTERP (~6 ppb) near the surface seem higher (by factor ~5 to 10?) than what has been typically observed on tall towers. The level of HOx (OH ~1.0 to 1.5e6 molec cm-3) seem ok. So do MEGAN fluxes (flux of isoprene ~2e-9 kg m-2 s-1 which is within what Guenther et al. 2006 has reported for that region, 50-100 mg m-2 d-1). Perhaps as a result, the simulated O3 is pretty low (~10 to 20 ppb). Has anyone else seen elevated levels such as these? Thanks in advance!
Ben
