CAM 5 with SOA chemistry

Hi!
I’d like to include SOA chemistry for some experiments, and ran into an issue with CAM5. I am using cesm1_2_2.  The setup for the run is:COMPSET=2000_CAM5%MOZS_CLM40%CN_CICE_POP2_RTM_SGLC_SWAVRES=f19_g16xmlchange -id CAM_CONFIG_OPTS -val "-phys cam5 -chem trop_mozart_soa" -file $CASEROOT/env_build.xml Compilation was successful, but the run aborted with the following error message:ERROR: sethet: het_rates (wet dep) not set for het reaction number :  28 I was able to perform a test run with CAM4 instead of CAM5.
I’d appreciate any suggestions how to resolve this issue.
Thanks,Thomas

Hi Thomas,
if you want to run CAM5 you have to use any of the mam chemistry packages, like pp_trop_strat_mam3. This however only includes a very simple SOA scheme. If you want to use the 2-step scheme that is in the SOA mechanism, you need to run CAM4.Simone
