CAM4/5 with data CLM4/POP/CICE

Hello,

I have looked through the component sets for CESM1 and I do not see a set for running CAM4 or CAM5 independently of all other component models. Is there a way to switch the Land, Ocean, and Ice models to data, so that CAM will operate on its own?

Thanks,

We usually run standalone CAM with active CLM and prescribed ice and SSTs.
See F compset.
If you don't want the carbone-nitrogen cylce in the land, you can use the FAMIP_CAM5 instead of FAMIP_CAM5_CAN

I see that in our development code there is an experimental compset to run cam with docn, dlnd, and dice. But this compset has not had any scientific validation. This suggests to me that it may not be that difficult to construct the compset, but that the hard part will be deciding how to specify the fluxes and surface properties that must be supplied to the atm.
