CAM5 output: AODDUST1/dsf_a1SF

Hi,all

I'm working on the CAM5 output and there are several terms that are not well explained in nc files.

AODDUST1, AODDUST2, AODDUST3: Aerosol optical depth 550nm model1, 2, 3 from dust.

Does anyone know what does the model or mode means? What's the difference between model 1,2 and 3?

dsf_a1SF: dsf_a1 dust surface emission; dsf_a3SF: dsf_a3 dust surface emission.
What's the different between them? Where can I find further information about the meaning of variables?

Thanks,
Bowen

Hi Bowen,I hope you have already found the answer. As far as I know, 1 represents accumulation mode, 2 represents aitken mode and 3 represents coarse mode.
