Can 2-deg restart files be changed into 3-deg?

Hi all,

I would like to do some simulation in coarse resolution, but currently I only have restart files for f09_g17 and f19_g17, is there a way to convert this to f10_g37 resolution?

The f10_g37 is described as atm:10*15, lnd: 10*15, ocnice: gx3v7; mask is gx3v7.

As explained in the clm5 user's guide here:

you can set the finidat (i.e. initial file) of your coarse simulation to a restart from another simulation and the model will perform the interpolation for you.

Thank you for your reply! Are the operations you described available only in clm5 or in all modules?

I am aware of this only in the land model, but I may be wrong...
