Can I run CAM with diurnal input SST/ICE?

Hi all,I wonder if I can run CAM (F component) with diurnal changing input SST/ICE, for example, 6-hourly SST/ICE data? It seemed the highest frequency I found people used was daily.I already succeeded writing my own SST/ICE input file with lower frequency before, and I'd like to know if I make the format of the input SST/ICE correct, is it possible to force CAM with diurnally changing SST/ICE?I'd appreciate it if you can give me suggestions! Thanks,Qiu

I believe it shoudl work. We have successfully ran with daily SSTs at NCAR. My understanding is that 6-hourly should work too

Hi Cecile, I am currently running the FHIST compset with the default monthly HADsst. I wanted to run CAM (F compset) with daily SST. Can you please suggest what modifications should I do? Is there any tutorial for this? Thanks and Regards.
