Can I run CAM5 without radiation scheme?

I want to froze the annual cycle in troposphere while keep the annual cycle in statosphere.My plan is to run CAM5 without the radiation scheme, then nudge the statosphere to its climatological annual cycle. Can I turn off the radiation scheme?Thanks
