case.build group option

Is there an option to tell case.build that any files it creates should be assigned to a particular group? It appears that case.build creates files assuming that my group (def-ntandon) is the same as my user name (ntandon), which it isn't. Even when I build within a directory assigned to group=def-ntandon, case.build creates files that don't inherit the group name. On my particular system, that creates problems with quotas, as quota usage is monitored by the groups that files are assigned to. I have very little space allocated under group=ntandon, but plenty of space allocated under group=def-ntandon.

Hi Neil,

This is a system issue and not attributable to anything we do in case.build, please discuss with your system administrators.
Probably what you want to do is set the group of your scratch directory with a sticky bit. See for example Ensuring new files in a directory belong to the group
