CCSM3 at NERSC

Hello. I am a new user of CCSM3 and NERSC.
I am trying to use franklin.nersc.gov to run the model.

When I execute:
./Test1.generic_linux.build

I get these error messages:
ERROR: mph.buildlib failed, see mph.buildlib.071023-071015
ERROR: cat /scratch/scratchdirs/notaro/test1/mph/mph.buildlib.071023-071015

Am I suppose to modify Macros.Linux or the Makefile to
somehow specify franklin as the system since those files
do not include franklin. How do I direct the model to
the correct (netcdf) libraries?

Yes you will have to edit these files to allow a new machine as an option. I know that the software engineers have very recently managed to get the most up to date development version of CCSM to run on franklin, but I am unsure whether they intend to get the release code to run there.
