CESM 1.2.2 Input Files Download Problem

Dear Sir/Mdm,

I'm porting CESM 1.2.2 to a cluster machine. I found that I can't download the input files, it gave me these message :

Invoke the following command to obtain them
   ./check_input_data -inputdata /home/yudhaset001/cesm1_2_2/scripts/port1a/Inputdata -export


I've tried to access these files using browser and it works after I key in the username and password. So I guess the problem here is that the username and password is not setup properly. How to set this account properly in the model build up processes ? Thank you in advance.

Hello       You need to install subversion. In ubuntu linux enter sudo apt-get install subversion. If you are working behind a proxy then edit /etc/subversion/servers file and in the end of servers file edit [global]
# http-proxy-exceptions = *.exception.com, www.internal-site.org
http-proxy-host = YOUR PROXY ADDRESS
http-proxy-port = YOUR PROXY PORT
# http-proxy-username = defaultusername
# http-proxy-password = defaultpassword

Thank you for the input. SVN is already there in system in the first place, it is svn version 1.4.2

But somehow I can't see /etc/subversion/servers although the folder do exist, is it because I'm not the admin ? or there is something wrong with it, I'm still checking with the admin about this.
 
Anyway, is there any other way to modify the ccsm repository account for svn usage besides editing /etc/subversion/servers ? Thanks.

Are you using some other linux flavor?? If its Red Hat or some other flavor then may be you need to search the location of that file. To access the input data repository behind a proxy, it is imperative to add your proxy address and proxy port in the servers file. Hope it helps

Or may be you can download the input data files using the browser and move those files to your input data directory.
