HejI work for the National Supercomputing Centre in Linköping Sweden (http://www.nsc.liu.se), specifically my job is to provide user support for climate modelling users on our systems. We would like to offer our users the opportunity of running the CESM1.1 model on our new linux cluster 'triolith' (http://www.nsc.liu.se/systems/triolith/).To date, I have downloaded the source code and followed the porting steps listed in Chapter 5 of the user's guide. I have created a mkbatch.triolith and env_mach_specific.triolith and modified the config_compilers.xml and config_machines.xml files and using these modifications I have completed the functionality tests described in http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.1/cesm/doc/usersguide/x1868.html. I have completed a set of load balancing tests and included the pe distributions in config_pes.xml and I am now starting a set of scientific tests as described in: http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.1/cesm/doc/usersguide/x1868.html. Is there a contact person(s) and a description somewhere of the tests required to be completed before a new machine can be designated as a (category 2) CESM1.1 supported machine? Or would it be better to simply hold local copies of the mkbatch.triolith, env_mach:specific.triolith, config_compilers.xml etc and get triolith users to apply these files after downloading the source code?Kind regardsHamish Struthers
