We are pleased to announce the release of CESM1.2.0.
The CESM1.2.0 release has numerous new key features among which are the addition of CLM4.5, new science changes to CAM5 running with the CAM-SE dynamical core, and new scripting infrastructure for the generation of component sets, grids and model testing.
Please review the CESM1.2.0 website and release notes at http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm1.2 for detailed information regarding this new release. The CESM website (http://www2.cesm.ucar.edu) has also been updated to help facilitate users in understanding CESM including which model versions are currently supported and recommendations regarding which version of the model to run for your experiments.
We encourage all users to participate in the DiscussCESM Forums Bulletin Board (http://bb.cgd.ucar.edu) if you have specific questions regarding configuring and running CESM.
