CESM1_2_1 DEBUG=TRUE causes CAM-SE to fail

I apologize if this issue exists in the bug-reporting forum.Searching for 'CAM-SE' or 'DEBUG' yields too many links,and searches can't be done for (CAM-SE and DEBUG), so Icouldn't find it. CAM-SE is dieing in prim_driver_mod:prim_init1 in the 'Initialize mass_matrix' section.
It apparently fails in the first call to rotation_init_atomic in the loop over nelemd.When I turn off CESM's DEBUG build option, it runs to the end.This is built with the CESM default compiler on Yellowstone.
