It looks to me as if you might benefit from working through the CESM Tutorial materials.  The web link is here:http://www.cesm.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/cesm/tutorials/20150810/registration.cgiAfter you register, you will be able to see all of the tutorial materials, which consist of scientific lectures and practical sessions that will walk you through the basics of CESM usage. If you work through the practical sessions and exercises, I think you will have a much better understanding of how to use CESM.Also, in your comment above, you said you changed STOP_DATE to 3.  Instead, you should set STOP_DATE back to its default value (-999) and change STOP_N to 3.  That, along with STOP_OPTION = nyears, will tell the model to run for three years.  Information on how to control the output from the various models can all be found in the practical sessions of the tutorial.

Hi ,Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry, by accidentally i copied STOP_DATE instead of STOP_N. I used STOP_N=3 only. There is no wrong in my code. Absolutely, as you said i have to read a bit to work out my experiment.Thank you so much.

Hello!I'v the same error mentioned in post #1.With CESM 1.2.2 the run-Script tries to execute ccsm_getenv in the run/Tools-Folder, but there is no Tools-Folder in "run", it is in $CASEROOT. The case res is f45_g37  and compset is X,compiler gnu. Can anyone help me to fix this? Thank you very much!
