change black carbon aerosol property??

Hi,

I want to change the black carbon aerosol radiative absorbing term to close off.
Is it possible to do this?? if so, how can I do about this change?
Plz give me some recommend, tks!

if I understand you correctly, you want to run with the back carbon aerosol absorbtion set to zero?In that case, one way to do it is to modify your optical properties file for black carbon and set all abs* terms to zero.

SimonThank you for your recommend.doning this way is to modify the input data instead of changing the source code? may be the easier way.I'm not sure if i change all abs* terms to zero, is that means BC aerosol absorbtion turn off and the heating from BC aerosol also turn off??thanks again

Jenny if you want to completely remove the radiation impact of black carbon, remove it fromthe list of radiatively active speciesi in the rad_climate list. Jaen-Francois
