change schemes of CESM

Hi all;
I have a question. Is it possible to change the details of each compset to your liking? For example, in the wrf model, there are several schemes for the boundary layer and etc. Is this possible in the CESM model as well?
For example, the CESM model can be run multiple times with different PBL schemes for a specific region.

Thanks

I'm not sure if you mean "compset" which is a list of CESM components that are used together or "component" which is a specific model for one of the general CESM components. You can come up with your own compset, by using the long compset name option, which allows you to specify specific versions of each component and determine things like using CAM or a data model for the atmosphere component. Now, each component has lots of options as well. So for example if you are using the CAM model for the atmosphere there are many namelist and xml options that change the physics of how the model is run.

Dear Erik,
I want to work on the boundary layer in the event of dust. I have a question. With what model or schemas does the model provide the boundary layer as output? I ran FWSC2000climo compost and saw the outputs. What equation did the output boundary layer of this compset use? For example, the WRF model has several schemas for the border layer. Including YSU and etc. Is the CESM model also possible?
