Changing cloud liquid/ice water amount

Hi,

I am using CESM1.1.1 with CAM4 and am trying to increase the amount of clouds (ice and liquid) to study cloud feedbacks. I would like to increase the cloud amount for specific months over a specific area. After going through the modules in the physics package I have some doubt that this is possible directly by modifying the source code. Looking at the macro physical module macrop_driver.F90 it seems that there is no explicit time dependence, also it looks like changing e.g. the cloud fraction would be on cost of the amount of relative humidity which is not what I want.

Do you have any suggestion how to make such changes? If so would something similar be possible for the amount of water vapor in the atmospheric column?

I would be very glad for any help!
Best regards,
Marie
