Hello,I am running CESM1.2.2 with CLM4.5 and I would like to change the initial conditions for soil moisture in the model. As I understand it, the model will use the initial conditions from the file specified by finidat in the namelist. If finidat='', then the model will start from arbitrary initial conditions as specified in mkarbinitMod. Ideally, I would like to use a clm restart file from a spin-up simulation as my finidat, with modified soil moisture over a specific region. However, I'm having trouble working with the 1d vector format of the clm restart file, and am wondering if anyone else has been sucessful in regridding this format to a lat/lon grid, or manipulating values over a specific spatial area. Especially if anyone has experience working with soil moisture as there is an additional depth dimension for the variable H2OSOI_LIQ(column, levtot). I'm working mostly in NCL, but any tips would be appreciated.Thanks!Katie
