CICE output problem

Hello everyone,     I was running CESM1.2 with slab ocean and thermodynamic sea ice.     Now I want to output cice file every timestep. To do this, I modified user_nl_cice: hist_avg = .false.histfreq = '1','x','x','x','x'histfreq_n=1,1,1,1  I ran the simulations for 3 days. When it finished, there was no ice history file.  Should I add some more settings in the  user_nl_cice ? Thanks.

This is fine, but you need to add variables to the output as follows:f_aice = '1xxxx'f_hi = '1xxxx'etc.

Thank you very much .It works! How could I determine  how many timesteps one history CICE history file contains ?

We only have the ability to write one time slice per file from CICE. I would recommend using ncrcat to combine the files after the fact.
