Continue Run Issue

Hi, I run one of my case for 10 years. Now I need to run another 30 additional years for the case. So I changed the continue run true and added the new project name using xmlchange function as my earlier project already expired. When I try to submit the case the case is still try to use the earlier project instead of new one. I also checked the preview_run, it also still showing the old project name.

Note: My case is a branch run from another baseline case. The baseline case was also build and run using the old project too
What should I do now?

CONTINUE = TRUE is intended for restart cases only. If you were trying to start a branch case and did everything else correctly, then just change CONTINUE to FALSE and try again.

Hi slevis,
I want to continue my run for additional 30 years. But the previous project was expired and I changed the project name using xmlchange. Then I tried to submit my case for additional years it’s still trying to use old expired project and so job terminated

Apologies if I misunderstood you earlier. In env_workflow.xml there are several places where you can update the project number:
- CHARGE_ACCOUNT appears twice
- PROJECT appears twice

If changing all these (manually or with xmlchange) does not resolve your problem, then you could create a new case with the new project, and branch the last 30 years from the previous case. If you wanted to keep the casename the same, then you could probably move the case/run/archive directories of the old case to a new name and name the new case the same as the old one. Just be extra careful not to overwrite anything accidentally.
