Create a newcase failed. Error: Make no sense to have read-only file

Hi,everyone. I try to create a newcase ,but i got the error. I found it related to this post. This is the output when i edited the genric_xml.py. Also, i attach my config files.

Hi CGL,

When I've run into this error in the past the issue was either incompatible externals, or a corrupt clone. Could you try re-downloading the code and trying again. Also, if you run ./describe_version and paste the results, that would be helpful.

Sure! Here is the result.

It looks like there's issues with the code you downloaded. Try downloading cesm2 into a different directory and see if that works
for you.
