Curvilinear Grid - Instructions/Workflow for handling and masking the Ocean data of CESM2-LENS in python

Hi all,

I using ocean data, mainly HMXL and SST for now, of CESM2-LENS.
Doing that I struggle with the workflow to generally account for the different grid of the ocean model, and using the transformation matrix for the T-Grid.
Is there a description or some basic introduction I can study regarding handling the data?
