Defaut for wind in CAM

Dear all, could any of you tell me what's the defaut setup for wind field in CAM? Also, If I set the wind field and other forcing field as constant, where should I do that? Thanks a lot, Joyce:rolleyes:

The wind fields are determined by prognostic equations in the model so it doesn't really make to sense to fix them in any way. It could be possible to add a relaxation/drag type of term to push the value back to some fixed value. What were you hoping to do in the model that involved fixed wind fields?

I think I got some ideas from your reply:) Also, what's the netCDF files mean in the data directory in CAM? I thought those are the default initial conditions, default forcing fields and the boundary conditions for the CAM run. Am I right?
