Differentiate wind speed and wind stress when forcing a G compset

I'm trying to force a GIAF compset with CORE2 data.I setup the experiment to investigate the relative importance of wind stress and wind speed, However,  GIAF compset needs only wind speed but no wind stress data to force, and the wind stress seems to be caculated from wind speed by 'bulk formulae'.So, is there a way to  differentiate them?Thanks. Fukai LiuOcean University of China
