Do I need to modify default timestep when I use 1 degree resolution?

Hi all,I am considering to run a long time cesm experiment with 1 degree resolution but I noticed that the default timestep for 1 degree resolution and 2 degree resolution is the same:30 minutes. I am wondering whether I need to modify the timestep to avoid instability of computation? Thanks!Yu
