double BC emission

Hi,

I want to run a simulation with double BC emission using CESM1_2_0 with FC5 compset. As I know,I should double the values of variables in the input files : /inputdata/atm/cam/chem/trop_mozart_aero/emis/ar5_mam3_bc_elev_2000_c090726.nc and
/inputdata/atm/cam/chem/trop_mozart_aero/emis/ar5_mam3_bc_surf_2000_c090726.nc.
But, when I check the other input emission files. I find the 'num_a1' input file (/trop_mozart_aero/emis/ar5_mam3_num_a1_elev_2000_c090726.nc) have some variables about accumulate mode number from BC.

So, I want to know do I need to double the variables about accumulate mode number from BC in 'num_a1' input files. Can anyone give me some suggestion ?

Best Wishes

Thanks for your reply. This is very helpful for me and I am very appreciated it.I am confused about the number emission (num_a1 and num_a2), do you konw how the number emission used in the model calculation ?   Best Wishes!
