energy balance error

Hello, I am using CLM 3.5 to do a methane emission project in the time range of 1948 to 2013. I can run my program successully at the 2.5 deg x 1.9 deg resolution but now decide to run it at 0.5 deg x 0.5 deg resolution to get more details. According to the user guide, I have downsaled the input atmospheric forcing data and other datasets to the target resolution. The model produced reasonable results in the early several years from 1948 to 1953 but stoped always in 1953/07/16 due to the failure of energy balance check: soil balance e nstep =     48527 point = 80848 imbalance =    0.00 W/m2 longwave enery nstep =     48528 point =252054 imbalance = -303.80 W/m2  I had checked my downscaled atmospheric data carefully but did not see any abnormality. And I also tried to find some answers from google but it seems there are few of people who have the similar issue. Could someone help me resolve it? Best RegardsZeli
