ERROR: BUILD FAIL: buildexe failed

Hello,

I encountered the error for the case build stage, the error is:

ERROR: BUILD FAIL: buildexe failed, cat /BIGDATA2/tyut_bwzhu_1/clm50_case/scratch/1kmx1km_UCPR-I2000Clm50SpGs-UCPR-test-2023-11-22/bld/cesm.bldlog.231122-171547

The details could be found as attached.

It puzzles me a lot and could anyone know how to solve it?

Hi BZhu,

If you look near the end of the CESM bldlog file you can see that it can't find the blas library. I am not sure what system you are on, but you may need to talk to IT or a system admin for how to get the library properly loaded into your environment so that the compiler can link to it.

Also, I am moving this post to the porting forum, in case the forum moderators there have any additional info or advice.

It may be that -llapack is enough and you can remove -lblas.
If not you will need to install a blas library or locate it on your system.
