error in building dead compset while porting cesm1_0 on new machine

You are providing a -I with no path and the pgi compiler is complaining.

Hello,Thank You for your quick reply.I have one doubt.will you please tell me, the probable time required to complete the run (CESM1_0 with dead comset).(I have used 16 processors still it is taking 2-3 hrs time to run)

That sounds very slow, but I really can't say what performance might be expected on your hardware.

Is it possible for you to use the cesm1_2_0 version of the model.    It looks like you are builiding a cam5 simulation in a version of cesm in which cam5 was inearly development - I think that the link error you are seeing will go away.

This is an error in your installed perl.   I did a google search and found"corelist version version was first released with perl v5.9.0"please check your perl version using perl --version and update if older than 5.9.0

and as per you, it is not older than 5.9.0, so what should be other possibilities to fix the issue.Thanks

The error you are getting is coming from perl as installed on your system and not from CESM, perhaps you can try a new perl build.
