Error in spin-up continue run

Hi, I am using cesm2.2.0 to simulate time series lnd output from 1980 to 2024, with reference from oleson's post (Some question about spin up).

However, during continue run from restart file between first spin-up and second IHIST run, it shows error: ERROR: File /data/sdc/fuhao/cesm/scratch/TP_5km_IHISTBgcCropGs/run/TP_5km_I1850BgcCropGs.cpl.r.1980-01-01-00000.nc not present or does not match case TP_5km_IHISTBgcCropGs.

My settings are attached below:

Firstly, using 1850_DATM%GSWP3v1_CLM50%BGC-CROP_SICE_SOCN_MOSART_SGLC_SWAV compset to obtain restart file, startup type run and setting 20 years spin-up from 1960 to 1980, run started from 1978 and end with 2 years.

Then, using HIST_DATM%GSWP3v1_CLM50%BGC-CROP_SICE_SOCN_MOSART_SGLC_SWAV case with hybrid run from 1980-01-01 to 2014-12-31, set finidat = '**.clm2.r.*' (restart file from last case), setting spin-up from 1980 to 2014.

landuse_imeseries_data, initialdata and surfdata in user_nl_clm.

Finally, using SSP_DATM%GSWP3v1_CLM50%BGC-CROP_SICE_SOCN_MOSART_SGLC_SWAV with hybrid run from 2015-01-01 to 2024-12-31.

However, after first step finished, error found: ERROR: File /data/sdc/fuhao/cesm/scratch/TP_5km_IHISTBgcCropGs/run/TP_5km_I1850BgcCropGs.cpl.r.1980-01-01-00000.nc not present or does not match case TP_5km_IHISTBgcCropGs, I don't know what is wrong with my setting.

Setting files for 2 cases are attached, thanks for any help.

One possible reason is that you shouldn't set CONTINUE_RUN=TRUE for a hybrid case.

Dear Oleson, many thanks to your answer, the case is working now after I set CONTINUE_RUN=FALSE.

Maybe that's because I ignored the fact that CONTINUE_RUN=FALSE must be set at the first time running hybrid.
