error message of "too much NH4 uptake predicted by FUN"

I built a 1deg case using I2000Clm50BgcCrop, and used Anomaly Forcing Function to modify the solar radiation. The run failed with the error message in the cesm log file:"ENDRUN:too much NH4 uptake predicted by FUNERROR: Unknown error submitted to shr_abort_abort.problem with limitations on nh4 uptake  0.000000000000000E+000               -Infinity"Could anyone help me to understand what this means? Thanks! Lili

I got the same error "too much NH4 uptake predicted by FUN". After turnnig off some nitrogen routines like LUNA and FUN by setting these options, the model runs well but LAI remains zero in the spinup. I wonder if there is any thing wrong with the CH4 routine in the official release version of CLM5.0 ?'use_flexiblecn = .false. use_fun = .false. use_hydrstress = .false. use_luna = .false. use_nguardrail = .false.
