evapotranspiration variables

Hi,

Total evapotranspiration = FCEV (evaporation from canopy) + FGVE (evaporation from ground) + FCTR (transpiration from canopy).

Is FCEV referred to evaporation from all the canopy? or is it per canopy unit? if so what is the unit?

If FCEV doesn't refer to all the canopy, I have a problem to understand why FCEV is reduced in a cooler climate (than preindustrial) in a simulation with interactive vegetation + physiology (1) compared with a simulation with only interactive vegetation (2).
In simulation 1, I have also less canopy vegetation compared to simulation 2.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Units: W/m2
Area refers to ground area.

If I understand correctly, you have less LAI+SAI in simulation 1 (less leaf and stem area per ground area). If so, it makes sense to me that FCEV would be less.
