forcing file in slab ocean model

Hi,I'm running Slab Ocean Model experiments, and I would like to diganose the response of atmosphere to different SST forcings. So, should I modify T (sst) and qdp variables, or only T in the pop_for.* forcing file? Thanks!

I believe you are misinterpreting what the SOM does. I encourage you to read the FAQ. Basically the SST on the forcing file is only the initial SST. The SOM prognostically computes SST.
