Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Full Professor of Data Science for Weather and Climate within UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics.
The School of Mathematics and Statistics at University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a permanent Full Professor of Data Science for Weather and Climate. This is a permanent post arising from a funding award of €5M over 5 years from Met Éireann with the possibility of further funding of €5M after 5 years. This funding will support the hiring of a research team, the creation of a PhD cohort-training programme and the establishment of a Data Science for Weather and Climate Research Centre. It will also provide funding for travel, equipment and other research support. The successful candidate will be expected to allocate the majority of their time in the delivery of the research programme, a third of which is expected to be closely working with Met Éireann.
95 Full Professor\2010 Salary Scale: €134,287 - €169,770 per annum.
