gen domain for cordex central asia

Dear All,
I've been trying to create surface data for cordex central asia domain. I've my own atmospheric data to run the clm model offline. I just add a sample tas file to show how the domain looks like (sorry if it does not require).

info for the nc file is:
File format : NetCDF4 classic
-1 : Institut Source T Steptype Levels Num Points Num Dtype : Parameter ID
1 : unknown unknown v instant 1 1 74259 1 F32 : -1
Grid coordinates :
1 : curvilinear : points=74259 (333x223)
lon : 1.56011 to 147.7199 degrees_east
lat : 15.85449 to 71.89829 degrees_north
Vertical coordinates :
1 : height : levels=1 scalar
height : 2 m
Time coordinate : 1 step
RefTime = 1949-12-01 00:00:00 Units = days Calendar = standard Bounds = true
YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss
1976-01-01 12:00:00

Please give me some instruction, to be able to create the surface data for this domain. I thank you very much for your help in advance.
Abdulla

Dear Keith,
thank you very much for your reply. I already followed this documentation. For a couple of years, I was able to create domain and surface data files for the pan-European region. But that war regular lat-lon grids.

The new case is a bit different. The atmospheric forcing files are in curvilinear format. I couldn't find an answer if I should change the input file formats or I can generate the domain and surface data in the curvilinear format. I followed the steps below with no success.

1. generated SCRIP grid files with mkscripgrid.ncl with following command:
$export PTNAME=deneme && export S_LAT=15.85449 && export N_LAT=71.89829 && export E_LON=1.56011 && export W_LON=147.7199 && export NX=333 && export NY=223
$ncl mkscripgrid.ncl
2. generate map data with mkmapdata.sh
./mkmapdata.sh -f ../mkmapgrids/SCRIPgrid_deneme_nomask_c200405.nc -r deneme -t regional

3. generate surface data with mksurfdata.pl
./mksurfdata.pl -res usrspec -usr_gname deneme -usr_gdate 200405

but all generated files are regular lat-lon grid files. In the user guide, there is, unfortunately, no information about creating surface data and domain data in the curvilinear format. Or am I missing something?

best regards
