Generate a new output land variable in CAM 3.1

Hello everyone,

i want to output a variable in the land component of CAM 3.1 which is not default.The variables i am interested in are sunlit photosynthesis and shaded photosynthesis.By default total photosynthesis is given as output.could you please guide me how to output the above mentioned variables.
