In many studies, gravel content data are used when changing soil thermal conductivity. I used "grep -ril --include =" * .f90 " ' gravel ' in the src folder in clm5.0, but unfortunately I didn't output the results. So is there a variable of gravel content in clm5.0? If so, where can I find the variable name of gravel? If not, how should I prepare surfacedata with gravel content, and how can I change mksurfdata.pl to prepare surfacedata with gravel content?

No gravel in CLM5. To implement gravel you would have to modify the soil thermal and hydraulic properties as currently described here:

and then provide input datasets of gravel to mksurfdata following the examples of PCT_SAND, PCT_CLAY, ORGANIC which are currently used to define soil thermal and hydraulic properties.
